Michail Antonio's former wife reportedly travelled hundreds of miles to be with him in hospital after he was involved in a car crash on Saturday.
Antonio was taken to a central London hospital following the single-car collision in Epping. The news was confirmed by West Ham United and local police after images on social media purported to show the Ferrari he was driving at the time of the accident.
The Hammers confirmed that Antonio was conscious and in a stable condition, but The Telegraph have reported that he suffered a broken leg. It has also been reported that he was trapped in the wreckage for nearly an hour and had to be freed by firefighters.
Antonio's ex-wife Debbie travelled down from Manchester to be with the forward in hospital after hearing that he had been involved in a road traffic accident, according to the Daily Mail.
The couple met in 2011 and quickly formed a strong relationship, growing from best friends to husband and wife. They eventually split up following the birth of their fourth child in 2020.
Meanwhile, the report adds that West Ham bosses remain 'worried' about Antonio's condition, with the 34-year-old being kept under close supervision by medical staff.
