West Ham United managerial target Graham Potter now faces competition from Erik ten Hag for his next job.
But all is not as it seems.
Graham Potter is being heavily linked with replacing Julen Lopetegui at West Ham, and the 49-year-old is said to be very keen to take over at the Hammers.
Lopetegui has performed miserably in his role at the London Stadium so far.
The Spaniard has failed to implement any kind of change, and it feels like we’ve got worse if anything.

The football has been turgid and the results have been equally as poor.
Annoyingly, he has been given one more game to save his job – Monday’s clash with Wolves.
If things don’t go well, Potter may well be the man to replace him, especially after the latest update coming from one English tabloid.
Ten Hag claim means 1 thing for West Ham’s Graham Potter hopes
Ironically, it was Lopetegui who actually got Ten Hag sacked from Manchester United in the end.
MORE WEST HAM STORIES
Well, the Spaniard was the camel that broke the Dutchman’s back shall we say.
Ten Hag is actively out looking for work, and where he goes next could well have a knock-on effect for West Ham.
According to a report from The Sun, Erik ten Hag has joined Potter in the race to become the new RB Leipzig manager.
Now, RB Leipzig may be more tempted to appoint Ten Hag than Potter, given the Dutchman’s history of actually winning trophies – nine in total.
Current Leipzig boss Marco Rose is said to be under real pressure after overseeing five defeats and a draw in their last eight games.
And if they appoint Ten Hag to replace him, the door will be wide open for West Ham to bring in Graham Potter.

In order to make it possible though, the Hammers will have to offer him a decent length of contract.
Graham Potter perfect for West Ham
Potter is a long-term project manager. He has highly intricate ideas that take time to bed in.
The 49-year-old favours a possession-based system and is incredibly flexible when it comes to his tactics.
The former Chelsea and Brighton boss has been known to use up to eight different systems during a game.
Patience is needed with Potter for sure.
However, the long-term rewards would be incredibly fulfilling for the West Ham fans, if we’re patient enough to go on a journey with Graham Potter.
His football would be like night and day to Lopetegui, that’s for sure.
If Erik ten Hag ends up in charge of RB Leipzig, I would suggest that the Hammers will have pretty much a free run at Potter.
