It has not been a good season for Wolves, but at least Fabio Silva is faring quite well over in La Liga.
Silva was expected to depart Molineux permanently during the last transfer window, having suggested that his time at the club was up.
Silva astonishingly suggested that he never wanted to sign for Wolves, and the feeling was that he would leave the club after four years.
But in the end, he only departed on loan, joining Las Palmas. Seemingly, no clubs were willing to pay what Wolves were asking for the striker.
It wasn’t ideal, and Wolves officials are now hoping that he has a brilliant season so that his market value remains decent ahead of the next summer window – and so far, it’s been a productive start for Silva in Spain.

Silva was named U23 La Liga Player of the Month for November, having scored goals against Rayo Vallecano, Mallorca and Barcelona.
That came after Roberto Martinez called Silva up to the Portugal squad for the first time.
Silva was back in action for Las Palmas yesterday, and it was another productive outing for the 22-year-old.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
Las Palmas continued their great form of late, winning the game 2-1. They’ve now won five of their last seven La Liga matches.
Silva didn’t score this time, but did provide an assist for Sandro Ramirez, making a nuisance of himself before Sandro pounced on the loose ball.
That assist means that Silva now has six goals or assists so far this season, and none of those goals have been penalties.
And as per StatMuse, that actually means he’s level with Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappe this season for non-penalty goals/assists, with the pair having six each.
Mbappe has not quite made the start most people expected him to at the Bernabeu following his move from Paris Saint-Germain. But this is an impressive reflection on Silva regardless.
Wolves officials will be delighted with Silva loan spell
Silva’s loan spell is going well so far and Wolves officials will be buzzing.
There’s a very slim chance he will be a Wolves player next season. Liam Keen recently reported Silva was almost certain to leave Wolves next summer given his struggles over the past couple of years, so this loan spell is about him bumping up his market value.

Appearances – 12
Minutes played – 878
Goals – 5
Assists – 1
Wolves will likely want to recoup as much of their initial investment as possible, although they will not come anywhere near the £35 million they paid to FC Porto.
Between this statistic and him now being a full Portugal international though, Silva is definitely putting himself in the shop window.
Having a good season with Las Palmas is also crucial for him in terms of having more options to choose from next summer.
