Harry Redknapp believes it is too early for either West Ham United or Wolves to sack their manager regardless of what happens when the sides meet on Monday.
Julen Lopetegui remains under serious pressure at the London Stadium having endured a wretched start to life as Hammers boss.
The Irons have looked devoid of ideas under his stewardship and have already reportedly lined up Micahel Carrick as his replacement if they opt to sack him (Daily Mirror).
However, Redknapp, writing in his column for The Sun [8 December], believes it is too early to sack the Spaniard and identified one area of the club that should come under scrutiny.
He said: “For me, it’s a bit early to be thinking about pulling the trigger but West Ham and Wolves are sides that are struggling.

“A lot of it comes down to recruitment. I thought their signings looked good in the summer but German striker Niclas Fullkrug has barely played because he has been injured since he arrived — although he did score that late goal at Leicester.
“I reckon both managers would take a draw, keep their jobs and get a bit of time, because if anyone does lose the game they’re going to be under severe pressure.”
Wolves encounter seems a no-win situation for West Ham
Almost any outcome on 9 December will leave a portion of the fanbase unhappy.
A win delays what seems like an inevitable sacking, while a loss will beg the question as to why the Spaniard remained in charge for the game after a dismal display against Leicester.
It seems only a matter of time until Lopetegui gets the sack and it’s very unlikely he is capable of doing anything to win back the trust of supporters after what has been nothing short of an embarrassing campaign.
West Ham, having qualified for Europe only two seasons ago, were meant to be a club on the up and progressing with each season, but Lopetegui’s lack of awareness and ideas has caused the Irons to regress massively since his appointment.

Even if the Hammers win against Wolves, their position in the table will remain the same with a current four-point gap between themselves and Manchester United.
Brandished as the ‘El-Sackico’ for obvious reasons, Monday’s encounter will certainly add fuel to the fire at the London Stadium.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers have made an approach to sign an ex-Premier League midfielder.
