Several Boston sports teams repped black and gold last weekend during the Bruins’ Centennial Game against the Montreal Canadiens.
As the Bruins celebrated reaching triple digits with a matchup against their Original Six foe, several Patriots players — including Drake Maye — donned Bruins sweaters while entering Gillette Stadium for their matchup against the Colts.
Celtics guard Derrick White took it one step further. Even though White was sidelined last Sunday during the Celtics’ road game against the Cavaliers, he showed up at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse wearing a David Pastrnak sweater.
He committed to the bit, even wearing it along the Celtics’ bench throughout Boston’s eventual 115-111 loss to Cleveland.
Pastrnak returned the favor ahead of Saturday’s matinee matchup against the Flyers, wearing a Derrick White City Edition jersey as he arrived at TD Garden.
It was a welcome showing of solidarity from the two teams that play on Causeway Street.
