Bruno Guimaraes has admitted that he felt 'very sad' for [Newcastle United](https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/all-about/newcastle-united-fc) fans after the Magpies' 4-2 defeat against Brentford.
[Newcastle](https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/all-about/newcastle-united-fc) twice came from behind to go into half-time level at the Gtech Community Stadium, but the visitors failed to test Brentford goalkeeper Mark Flekken after the break. Although there was still more than half an hour to go, after Nathan Collins put Brentford back in front, ragged Newcastle did not look like scoring in the second half and substitute Kevin Schade ultimately sealed all three points for the hosts in stoppage time.
The result leaves Newcastle in 12th place following a run of just two league wins since September 21. To think this side claimed a deserved point against league leaders Liverpool just a few days ago. However, that inconsistency has been the story of Newcastle's season so far.
"Very disappointing," Bruno told TNT Sports Mexico. "It was a game I was looking forward to after the game against Liverpool at home. I was ready for the game.
"Unfortunately, in the second half, we were not good enough and gave the ball away many times. It was not good enough and I'm very sad and very disappointed for our fans. We have to play for them and today we were not at our best levels.
"I think I can do better. I have been good in some games and others not so good, and I have to find a consistency like the whole team. Everyone can play better in our side."
