A leading member of the midfield ranks at La Liga champions Real Madrid was put through an anti-doping test on Saturday evening.
That’s according to Blancos insider Guillermo Rai of The Athletic, who points towards Luka Modrić as the player in question.
Real Madrid were of course back in action last night, making the trip to Catalunya for a La Liga meeting with Girona.
When all was said and done, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops secured a dominant return to winning ways, owing to goals on the part of all of Jude Bellingham, Arda Güler, and Kylian Mbappé.
Veteran midfielder Modrić, meanwhile, featured from the off in proceedings, rolling back the years courtesy of a trademark display in the middle of the park.
And, as alluded to above, post-match, the Croatian took his place centre stage in the dressing room, too.
As much came, as per the aforementioned Guillermo Rai, as Real Madrid’s departure from the Estadi Montilivi was delayed, owing to Modrić being subjected to a random anti-doping test.
