Even though Barcelona’s ongoing poor form is showing no signs of stopping and extended to December, one key element that continues to do well is the front trio.
With 50 goals in 17 matches, Barcelona are still the highest scorer in the league, much thanks to the offensive trio involving Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.
The trio has already outperformed Real Madrid’s ‘Galactic Trio’ of Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr by a significant margin.
Yamal has more assists than Real Madrid trio
But in an interesting revelation, it appears Yamal alone has now equalled the combined assist count of Real Madrid’s star-studded trio in La Liga this season.
The Spanish international has racked up nine assists in the league this term, which is the combined total of what Mbappe, Vinicius and Bellingham have managed.
This is quite significant considering the fact that when Kylian Mbappe made the high-profile move to Real Madrid this summer, expectations were sky-high.

The combination of Mbappe, alongside the already formidable duo of Vinicius Jr. and Jude Bellingham, was heralded as the new ‘Galactic Trio’ set to dominate not just La Liga, but the entire European football scene.
But it appears they are being outperformed by a trio that involves a veteran striker far beyond his prime, a 17-year-old trying to make a name for himself and a Brazilian looking to redeem himself after a couple of poor seasons at Camp Nou.
Yamal, in this context, has done impressively well. Under the guidance of Hansi Flick, has not only become a key component in Barcelona’s attacking strategy but has also demonstrated a level of playmaking that rivals some of the best in the league.
However, with Barcelona struggling with poor form, it is now time for Yamal to step up his game further and guide his team away from this difficult period.
