Club insider asks Ange Postecoglou to start these two players vs Chelsea

Tottenham Hotspur are set to face Chelsea at White Hart Lane later today, and ex-scout Bryan King has suggested his opinion on the potential starting lineup for Spurs.

Pressure has been mounting on Ange Postecoglou as the Lilywhites are placed in the second half of the Premier League table (precisely 11th), which is far away from the prospects of bringing Champions League football back to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The North Londoners will be looking to get back from the midweek setback where the Lilywhites were defeated by Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium on Thursday night.

Will Ange tinker?

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has massive pressure to get a positive result vs Chelsea

The former Celtic manager chose to bench Son Heung-min and Pedro Porro for the game against the Cherries, and former Lilywhites scout Bryan King claims that both the aforementioned players should start against the West Londoners later today as he wants the head coach to name a full-strength side.

King, in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, claims that it is not time to experiment. He said:

“Will we see an immediate response from the manager and players against Chelsea? Son and Porro have to start; the team needs to go back to full strength. You can’t start experimenting at home against Chelsea, especially not with the way they’re playing.

“They can’t make it easy for Chelsea at all. Therefore, they need to play the full-strength team to have any chance of victory, end of story.”

King’s opinion about starting Son and Porro doesn’t really come as a mere suggestion, but it is a reflection of the frustration among supporters of late, and his point is valid: right now is not the time to experiment with the lineup given how desperate Spurs are for a result.
