According to Calciomercato.com, England U21 midfielder Chukwuemeka has agreed to join Milan next month, and the Serie A giants hope to strike a deal with his club, Chelsea, in the coming weeks.

The report claims that Chukwuemeka has long been a target of Milan chief scout Geoffrey Moncada. The latter reportedly persuaded the 21-year-old to move to the Stadio Meazza in the winter transfer window.

However, this doesn’t mean the Rossoneri will close the deal soon.

Calciomercato.com, in fact, claims that Milan are now in talks with Chelsea, hoping to shake hands with the Blues over an initial loan deal with an option to buy in the summer.

The Rossoneri are not the only club interested in Chukwuemeka, who is willing to leave Stamford Bridge having made just four appearances across all competitions this term.

Celtic Glasgow are also strongly interested in the 21-year-old, but Moncada remains in contact with the player’s entourage, who hope to find their client a new club in the coming weeks.
