Tottenham Hotspur wide forward Heung Min Son has been speculated with links with a move away from White Hart Lane given his contract situation in North London. While the 32-year-old is the captain and a huge presence in the dressing room at Hotspur Way, he is yet to secure his future at the club beyond the conclusion of the ongoing campaign, and multiple clubs have been looking to take advantage of the situation.
Son is a modern-day icon at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and it is difficult to see him in such a situation given how important he is for the club on and off the pitch.
Man United & Amorim looking at Son
Bold substitutions and a new Spurs hero: Three Talking points as Tottenham down Aston Villa.
Son has been linked with a move to Manchester United.
However, Daniel Levy has let this situation go beyond when it should have been dealt with, and now the Lilywhites Premier League rivals, Manchester United, are interested in landing the player, per Fichajes.
The report further states how Ruben Amorim, United’s new head coach, is the driving force behind the links with the South Korean. The former Sporting Lisbon manager sees Son as an ideal playmaker to partner stars such as Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford.’
For Tottenham, losing Son would be a major blow to Ange Postecoglou’s project at White Hart Lane, as the South Korean is a much-needed presence within the squad, and if Spurs fail to address his contract situation soon, Levy would find himself in a difficult position with the supporters, as one of the most beloved players at White Hart Lane could be potentially slipping away to a Premier League rival.
