Premier League leaders Liverpool return to action when they face Spanish side Girona in the Champions League on Tuesday.
The Reds have enjoyed a superb start to the season under new manager Arne Slot and currently sit top of both the Premier League and Champions League tables.
They missed the chance to maintain their seven-point advantage at the top of the domestic table, though, after the Merseyside derby against Everton was postponed due to bad weather.
That means Slot’s side won’t return to Premier League action until next Saturday, when they face Fulham.
In the meantime, the Merseyside club have reportedly identified a Serie A star as a potential successor to Mohamed Salah.
As per CaughtOffside, Liverpool are one of a number of clubs interested in Juventus star Kenin Yildiz.
The 19-year-old joined Juventus from German giants Bayern Munich two years ago and, after initially joining the club’s youth setup, he has since established himself in the first team.
Yildiz has attracted interest from several clubs across Europe
In total the winger – who primarily operates on the left – has played 52 times for the Turin club across all competitions, scoring eight times and providing four assists.
The report claims that Liverpool’s Premier League rivals Manchester United, Arsenal and Aston Villa – as well as German side Borussia Dortmund – have all shown interest in the player and scouted him in recent weeks.
Scouts form those sides are said to have watched the Turkey international in Serie A matches against both AC Milan and Lecce.
Yildiz is contracted to The Old Lady until the summer of 2029, which puts the Italian side under very little pressure to sell him any time soon.
It is claimed that a fee of around £66 million would be required to make Juventus even consider selling the winger, who has a combined seven goals and assists in 20 matches so far this term.
