The Gunners started well but found themselves behind against the run of play when Raul Jimenez finished clinically on the break. Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice then went close in the first half as Arsenal looked to strike back, but they failed to find a goal before the break.
The Gunners were level not long after half time as set pieces proved decisive once again - William Saliba this time tapping in Kai Havertz's flick from a Declan Rice corner.
The Gunners then thought they had snatched a late winner when Bukayo Saka headed home Gabriel Martinelli's cross. The Brazilian was adjudged to be offside in the build up though. Here's how **football.london** rated the Arsenal players individually in the game.
**David Raya:** Could he have done better with the goal? When a shot is that clinically hit it's hard to say. Did sweep well aside from that and made a good stop at his near post to keep it 1-1. **6.**
**Thomas Partey:** He wasn't necessarily bad at right back. A few times caught off the ball but fair enough against these Fulham wingers. But Arsenal lose so much without him in the middle. Should have scored from a corner too. **6.**
**William Saliba:** A second goal in as many games for the Frenchman. Defended decently aside from that. Some imperious moments against Jimenez and Muniz. **8.**
**Jakub Kiwior:** Allowed Jimenez to run off him for the goal. Not a catastrophic mistake normally but punished in brutal fashion. Decent aside from that. **6.**
**Jurrien Timber:** Defended well on the left but simply can't offer as much going forward. Arsenal suffered offensively as a result. **6.**
**Jorginho:** Kept looking for the ball over the top to Saka but the run wasn't always there. Kept possession neatly in midfield aside from that. **6.**
**Martin Odegaard:** Looked to pick up an injury in the first half but was still one of the better players. Linked well with Saka to produce a few good moments. **7.**
**Declan Rice:** Arsenal's most creative presence on the day. Got forward well from the left eight position, while his delivery was pinpoint as ever. How many points has he won Arsenal this season with those corners?! **8.**
**Bukayo Saka:** Good in the first half as he created a few decent opportunities but squandered them. Faded a little in the second period. Thought he'd won it but luck was against him. **6.**
**Kai Havertz:** Non-existent movement for much of the match as he lacked conviction in the No.9 spot. Got the assist for the goal but largely because he should have scored himself in the first place. **5.**
**Leandro Trossard:** Some great crosses out on the left but they were few and far between. Not given much support without the aid of a left footed left back. **6.**
**SUBSTITUTES -**
**Gabriel Martinelli:** Offered a little more of a direct threat down the left hand side after coming on. Failed to ever really get beyond Tete though. Was offside the one time he did... **6.**
**Gabriel Jesus:** Had a huge opportunity in the box but for some reason decided to leave it. Pretty quiet aside from that. **5.**
**Mikel Merino:** Didn't offer Arsenal much going forward. Even at set pieces... You wonder if a more offensive change would have been wiser. **6**
**Ethan Nwaneri:** Came on too late for a rating. **n/a.**
