Gareth Taylor has played down concerns about a Jill Roord injury following City's 4-0 WSL win over Leicester.
The Dutch midfielder came off as stoppage time approached at the Joie Stadium despite City having already used all of our available substitutes.
Roord has been one of the Blues’ standout performers since she returned from an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury, and was central to City’s 4-0 success over Leicester.
And Taylor isn’t expecting her to be ruled out for a lengthy period, insisting her substitution was a precautionary measure.
“It’s just a slight groin issue,” the boss said of Roord.
“She said it wasn’t anything too serious and was happy to stay out there, but we took the decision that it wasn’t worth the risk.”
A Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw brace, the first within two minutes of kick-off, set City on our way to a ninth successive home win in all competitions.

Jess Park and Mary Fowler then both added to the scoreline after the break in what was an impressive victory for the Blues.
Taylor was delighted by his side’s display and with how his team returned after the international break.
He added “I think that’s 13 wins, one draw and one loss in 15. I think that’s really impressive in all competitions.
“Of course we were hoping for that performance, you never know what you’re going to get on the back of the international break particularly when you only have two training sessions but they were both really good.
“The players really adapted to some of the concepts we were working and in the first two or three minutes what we worked on came off straight away.”
