MARC CUCURELLA slipped over TWICE during the build-up to TWO Tottenham goals in a thrilling first half in north London.
Dominic Solanke and Dejan Kulusevski took advantage of the errors by the defender - who, in shambolic fashion. immediately changed his boots after the second goal went in.
Jadon Sancho then fired a goal back for Chelsea as the game started off at an incredible pace with the Blues slowly getting into the game but still trailing at the break.

View from SunSport's Charlie Wyett in North London
The noise inside the stadium here is deafening and little wonder due to these two goals.
Although a large number of Spurs want their manager out, the atmosphere was also decent before the game.
The objects being thrown on the pitch were the pieces of card used for the tifo before the game.

It has been a half of plenty of chances.
Tottenham led by two goals after only ten minutes and it looked like this could be a rout.
Sancho's goal brought his side back into this and gave them the confidence boost they needed in North London.

The referee brings the first half to a close.
Spurs have a slender lead at the interval.
Both managers will need to give their players a talking to here.

45. Sancho works the ball to Cucurella on the edge of the box.
He looks to get a shot off at goal but it goes high into the stands.
Maybe he needs to try those other boots on again, they may be his shooting ones.
They are definitely not his standing up without falling boots.
We are going to have two added minutes.

43. It seems crazy the stewards here are doing nothing about all the things being thrown at the Chelsea players.
Instead they are just picking them up from the pitch.
Palmer swings in the corner but it is headed away at the near post by Solanke.

41. It has been quite an even game in all.
Cucurella with the two assists for the Tottenham goals aside, we would probably be all square.
It seems quite karmic for this to happen to a club who still rattle on about Steven Gerrard at Anfield.

39. Jackson has a glimpse of goal but his effort deflects wide for a corner.
The ball is swung in by Fernandez who has been pelted with things from the stands as he looked to take it.
Tottenham head clear to keep their lead intact.

Son works it into the box and picks out Solanke perfectly.
The striker cannot adjust his feet quick enough and the Chelsea keeper is able to save his tame effort.

35. Wow. What a let-off for the visitors.
Caicedo catches Bissouma high up the shin but VAR clears it and says it 'lacks excessive force'.
They make this up as they go along.
Meanwhile Sarr meets a corner with his head but it clips the top of the crossbar as it heads over.

33. What a great double save from Forster.
Firstly Palmer shoots from outside the box, with his effort heading into the bottom corner but the keeper saves well.
The ball rebounds to Fernandez, who cuts onto his left foot and tries to beat the Spurs stopper at his near post.
No chance as the big man saves well with his feet.

Jackson does well to hold it up and find Fernandez.
He plays it out to Sancho and Chelsea are able to attack.
It all breaks down in the box when a loose pass is intercepted.

27. Both sides have had three shots on target so far.
You would have to say that Spurs have been the most clinical.
Somehow I don't think we have seen the end of the goals in North London tonight.

25. Badiashile is penalised for a foul out wide.
He is getting dragged from pillar to post in this game.
That is the problem with the back three, your centre backs need to be comfortable as full backs at times.

23. From a Tottenham corner Chelsea almost create a chance to score.
Jackson runs clear with the ball into the Spurs' half and has support with Sancho and Palmer.
He tries to skip past the defender but he reads it well and calmy takes the ball from him.

21. This really could be any scoreline this evening.
They may as well take their defenders off and just bring some more attackers on.
Fernandez gets to the byline and crosses but Palmer completely misses the ball at the near post.

19. The amount of missiles coming from the stands is crazy.
It all seems to be at Sancho's end of the pitch.
The referee will need to do something about this.

17. What a strike from the former Dortmund man.
He cuts inside onto his right foot and lets fly from outside the box.
His effort heads into the far corner with the keeper unable to get anywhere near it.

15. Not what his manager wanted to see there.
He has only just come back from injury.
That aside, it will take a lot to get Ange in a bad mood with this scoreline.

13. This has been a brilliant start for Postecoglou's side.
They have had many critics this week since that Bournemouth defeat.
Romero has gone down injured and looks set to be replaced by Dragusin.

11. Insane stuff here.
Cucurella slips again to gift the hosts a goal.
This time it is Kulusevski who drills home from outside the box.
The Chelsea defender then comes to the dugout to change his boots, blaming the kit man for his slipping on the pitch.

9. This is such an open game, end to end stuff.
This is the sort of entertaining match we were hoping for from this one.
As a neutral, we all want a Christmas goal bonanza.

7. Chelsea have it all to do now.
That said, Tottenham scored the first goal in the Chelsea victory here last season.
It should open this game up for the neutral.
