Premier League fans in awe of Leicester man vs Brighton as one claims they’ve ‘won the lottery’

Leicester City picked up a point against Brighton and Hove Albion at the King Power Stadium.

Leicester fought back from two goals down against Brighton to rescue a late point, as Bobby De Cordova Reid tapped home a stoppage-time equaliser.

Jamie Vardy earned most of the plaudits for his sensational display, netting the opener before laying on the second goal.

Boubakary Soumare also impressed Leicester fans as many claimed he was deserving of the Man of the Match award, yet again.

The Frenchman has looked completely reinvented over the last few weeks, though, he’ll miss the trip to Newcastle next week due to suspension.

Premier League fans have also been quick to hail one Leicester man in particular.

Premier League fans heap praise on Ruud van Nistelrooy

Fans from clubs across the Premier League, particularly Manchester United, have been singing the praises of Ruud van Nistelrooy on X (formerly known as Twitter).

“Leicester City won the lottery in Ruud van Nistelrooy,” @Jhavi42 posted.

@KrishnaAnand_ commented: “Leicester have found the perfect manager to take them to safety! Van Nistelrooy will bring an attack and aggression to the club and ensure they score loads of goals!”

@RedlingMUFC said: “That Van Nistelrooy guy has something special about him.”

“Watching Leicester football and wishing Ruud Van Nistelrooy stayed at Manchester United a little longer Results don’t lie Ruud atm is better than Amorim,” @UtdNFN posted.

@Buntingfootball said: “It’s been a week and it’s a very small sample size but I do feel it’s evident that Ruud van Nistelrooy has instilled some sort of mentality at Leicester. They don’t come back there under Steve Cooper in my opinion. He pushes that team and that’s the difference in my opinion.”

@Kai_16388 added: “United should have kept Ruud van Nistelrooy.”

Leicester now have breathing room in relegation battle

It was a valuable point for Leicester as they’re now five points above the relegation zone, with 18th-placed Ipswich Town suffering a late defeat to Bournemouth.

City have picked up four points from a possible six since van Nistelrooy’s arrival and will travel to Newcastle this weekend with belief they can gain another positive result.

Newcastle have just been dealt with comfortably by Brentford, so they certainly aren’t going into the clash in the best of form.
