West Ham provide new Michail Antonio update
There was a lot of worry across the footballing world when news first emerged of Antonio’s accident and all the concern was with the Jamaica striker and his family.
Since then, the updates that have emerged have been a little more promising and now the focus will be on supporting Antonio through his recovery.
What has been so pleasing to see is the outpouring of love and support from the wider football community, at times like this you realise that the majority of fans and football lovers just care about the game.
Gary Lineker and Jamie O’Hara are among those to have sent well-wishes publicly, and all the other factors going on at the club right now pale into insignificance as we all get behind Antonio.
He has been a truly wonderful servant to this football club and hopefully he can make the speediest recovery possible after a worrying couple of days.
In other West Ham news, the Irons might test the resolve of a Serie A giant to make a midfielder signing in January.
