Tottenham Hotspur have been looking to sign a new midfielder in the upcoming 2025 transfer intervals, and the Lilywhites are said to be looking at a potential move for Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, per The Daily Briefing.
The Lilywhites have been left thin in the middle of the park since the departure of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Giovani Lo Celso, and Ange Postecoglou is looking to add a grinding midfielder to his roster, and the North Londoners are presented with an opportunity to land one of the Championship’s finest ballers from the previous season, as his current employers, Chelsea, are open to letting Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall leave in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Tottenham can land Dewsbury-Hall for a bargain fee
Transfer News: Ange Postecoglou reveals key Tottenham position he is keen to reinforce in 2025.
Levy can capitalise on Dewsbury-Hall situation at Chelsea
Dewsbury-Hall was playing some exquisite football for Leicester City during his time under Enzo Maresca at King Power Stadium, and the Italian head coach chose to take him to Chelsea in the summer window. However, the 26-year-old hasn’t found his feet with the West Londoners, who are ready to sanction his sale in January.
Chelsea are looking to recover the £30 million that they paid to the Foxes to sign him and would be willing to sanction a move for the given fee, per Football Insider.
For the aforementioned asking price, it could prove to be a reasonable fee for a player of Dewsbury-Hall’s calibre, and Daniel Levy could be looking to capitalise on the Blues struggles as Spurs chairman could secure a potential gem for a bargain price.
