Following our commanding win over Aston Villa, Alessia Russo and Kyra Cooney-Cross provided their take on the performance.
Russo bagged a brace, with her first goal coming courtesy of Cooney-Cross' pinpoint delivery from a free kick.
_Here is everything they had to say:_
**on the result...**
Russo: Yeah, it's always nice to be at the Emirates, especially after the international break. I think we look forward to coming back here, playing in front of our fans, and getting back together as a group. So yeah, it was really nice to be back and three points.
**on combining for our opening goal...**
Cooney-Cross: Yeah, honestly, I just whipped it in and Lessi got her head to it. We've been practising set pieces a lot in training and yeah, it worked well.
**on Alessia's smashing goal late on...**
Russo: Yeah, I'm trying to. I always say, I'm a forward, so I've got to try and create and score as much as I can. But we're feeling good. We're combining well as a front line and as a team in general so yeah, we're really enjoying playing together.
**on Kyra's performance in midfield...**
KCC: Yeah, it felt good. It was good to get some minutes in international break, and obviously, bringing that to Arsenal. It made it a lot easier and it felt really good out there, and I really enjoyed it.
**on today's crowd at Emirates Stadium**
AR: Yeah, they're amazing. They come in full force every time we're here, we're abroad, we're at Boreham Wood. They're always there in full force. So, yeah, we need them in moments throughout the game. Villa are still a tough side, and we were clinical today, but we used the crowd and we used their energy. We just love playing in front of them.
