Liverpool have made an opening contract offer to forward Mohamed Salah, according to reports.
The 32-year-old is at stands set to leave Anfield at the end of the 2024/25 season with his current deal due to expire in June 2025. However, as reported by The Atheltic's David Ornstein on Sunday, Salah has now received an offer.
The talented Egyptian has already notched a whopping 15 goals and 12 assists for Liverpool so far this term, with Arne Slot's side currently top of the Premier League. Liverpool are also leading the way in the UEFA Champions League group stages, having won all five of their first five games in the new-look competition.

The report states that it is unknown how long his contract offer is for nor what the terms of the agreement entail. Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are both set to also leave the club in the summer but have also been sent new contract proposals this summer, it is reported,
Alexander-Arnold has attracted the attention of Real Madrid in recent months but Salah's interest has come from PSG and Saudi Arabia. Salah did speak on his contract negotiations last month when he was quizzed by journalists following the 3-2 win against Southampton at St Mary's.
