Trail Blazers' Shaedon Sharpe’s dunk against Jazz recognized for vertical leap: Watch

The Portland Trail Blazers’ blowout loss to the Utah Jazz on Friday did include one impressive moment for the home team.

Blazers guard Shaedon Sharpe scored on a one-handed, alley-oop dunk off of a pass from Anfernee Simons in the second quarter of a 141-99 loss at the Moda Center.

The dunk, according to NBA.com, included a 45.1-inch vertical leap from Sharpe. That is the highest recorded vertical during a dunk since tracking became available last season.

That’s a small sample size for a league that began in 1948-49, and has featured such historic leapers as David Thompson, Michael Jordan and Vince Carter, to name a few.

But still, Sharpe’s dunk was spectacular and worth revisiting.
