Manchester United are set to have rising US youngster Nimfasha Berchimas at the club to train, as they will hope to strike a deal.
According toThe Mirror, US youngster Nimfasha Berchimas is set to begin training with Manchester United next week, as the Red Devils are hoping to impress the teenager. The 16-year-old American also has a massive following from the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid as he continues to weigh his options ahead of what appears to be a bright future.
The USMNT might have their next big star in the making as Nimfasha Berchimas has been garnering rave reviews for how he has developed. The Charlotte FC star became the 9th youngest player to debut in the MLS when he made a senior appearance and is already weighing in his options ahead of a bright future.
Berchimas is also part of the USMNT U20 setup despite only being 16, meaning there’s enough faith from coaches of senior sides in his ability to play at a very high level. The teenager is now set to travel to the UK and begin training with Manchester United.
It’s not the first time he has done something like this, as back in 2022, the 16-year-old American was part taking in training with Bayern Munich. Things might have been different then, considering Berchimas would have been 14, but in the period since, the teenager has flourished in his game across all fronts.
Manchester United are hoping to use this training period as a chance to evaluate the player, and given his high stature, they could look to strike a deal with Charlotte FC now rather than wait until later. Given the rules around youngsters, Berchimas will only be able to move to the UK in the summer of 2026.
Nimfasha Berchimas to bide his time over the future
Manchester United are not the only side interested, asChelsea and Real Madrid are also in the race, as per TBR. There are probably more clubs in the mix, meaning it’s likely that the huge interest in his signature would overwhelm Berchimas.
The teenager is not in a rush to decide on his future, as he will bide his time before concluding. As of now, Manchester United seem like the closest to having an advantage as they are set to have the teenager for training sessions, and other interested sides like Chelsea and Real Madrid are likely to continue keeping close tabs.
