Barcelona are set to discover their Copa del Rey opponents on Monday when the draw for the next round is made at 1pm CET.
The latest round sees Barcelona, Real Madrid, Athletic Club and Real Mallorca enter the fray for the first time this season.
All four clubs are playing in this season’s Spanish Super Cup - hence their late entry into this year’s domestic cup competition and they will face lower league opposition.
Here are Barcelona’s possible opponents:
* Barbastro
* Pontevedra
* Logroñés
* Ourense
* Deportiva Minera
There have already been a few shocks in this season’s tournament. Espanyol have been knocked out by Barbastro, Girona went out on penalties against Logrones and Villarreal suffered a shock defeat to Pontevedra.
The format is the same as before in that lower-tier teams will play their games at home. The third round fixtures are scheduled to take place on the January 3-5th, 2025.
