Cavs lose All-Star hopeful to injury in first half vs. Miami Heat

Cleveland Cavaliers at Miami Heat, December 8, 2024

MIAMI — The Cavs can’t seem to shake the injury bug.

On the heels of his career game a little more than 24 hours earlier, young forward Evan Mobley, one of the team’s All-Star hopefuls, suffered a sprained left ankle in the first half Sunday night against the Miami Heat. While Mobley played through the pain, logging 12 minutes, he was ruled out at halftime and stayed in the locker room for treatment.
