Manchester United are reportedly leading Premier League clubs in the race to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen in January.
According to Il Mattino, United have joined Juventus and PSG in preparing bids for Osimhen ahead of the winter window. The Nigerian striker currently finds himself on loan at Galatasaray after his exit from Naples fell through in the summer.
With Osimhen guaranteed not to feature under Antonio Conte, he was forced into a move to Turkey where their transfer window remains open longer. The striker would join Galatasaray for the season however a break clause was included in the agreement which is believed to state that should one of ten unnamed clubs approach Napoli for his services permanently in January, he would be free to leave his current temporary club to pursue a deal.

The 25-year-old currently has ten goals in 13 appearances for Galatasaray. Arsenal and Chelsea have both previously shown interest in Osimhen but are not thought to be contemplating a move in the winter.
MEN Sport understands that Osimhen was a one-time target of United however the decision was made to target Rasmus Hojlund instead. Elsewhere TBR understands United, Arsenal and Chelsea have all been put on red alert as Juventus look set to sell Dusan Vlahovic should he not agree to a new, lower contract in Turin.
The Serbian striker bagged 16 goals in 33 Serie A appearances last season and has nine in 17 matches this campaign across all competitions. However, he has not scored in the league since a thrilling 4-4 draw with Inter in October.
It is believed the 24-year-old, who joined from Fiorentina in January 2022, is Serie A's best paid player. But, with money tight in Turin, Juve could be forced to sell if he does not agree to lower his terms at the club.
It is understood United are interested in Vlahovic should he become available to add much needed firepower to the squad.
