The WSL got back underway this weekend, with two weeks of games before the upcoming winter break.
Meanwhile, in France, Lyon extended their lead on top of the table after PSG fell to a late draw against Paris FC.

**England**

Manchester United made light work of Liverpool, defeating their traditional rivals 4-0. Elisabeth Terland, Leah Galton, Dominique Janssen and Melvine Malard were all on the scoresheet as they made full use of their chances. **Teagan Micah** was in goals for Liverpool.
The other team in Manchester matched United’s margin, as Manchester City defeated Leicester City 4-0. **Mary Fowler** was on the scoresheet in the second half after a Khadija Shaw brace and a goal to Jess Park.
Fowler started and played the full match for City, while **Alanna Kennedy** was substituted on in the 60th minute. **Courtney Nevin** started the match for Leicester.
A brace to Bethany England meant that Tottenham Hotspur overcame Everton 2-1. Sara Holmgaard made it 1-1 at half-time but England’s second-half penalty was enough to lift Spurs to the win.
**Clare Hunt** and **Hayley Raso** both started the match for Spurs, while **Clare Wheeler** played the full match in midfield for Everton. **Charli Grant** was an unusued substitute for Spurs.
Arsenal continued their recent good form, defeating Aston Villa 4-0. Alessia Russo scored a brace while Beth Mead and Stina Blackstenius were on the scoresheet as well.
**Kyra Cooney-Cross** started the match, picking up the assist for Russo’s first goal. **Steph Catley** and **Caitlin Foord** also started for the Gunners.
Chelsea defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 4-2 in a high-octane, action packed match. Chelsea took a two goal lead in the first half but Brighton refused to go away, scoring at regular intervals to keep the champions on their toes, before Sjoeke Nüsken’s stoppage time goal made sure of the result.
**Sam Kerr** remains unavailable for Chelsea as she recovers from her ACL injury, while **Charlie Rule** was not in Brighton’s matchday squad.
Finally, **Katrina Gorry** was Player of the Match as West Ham recovered from two goals down to defeat Crystal Palace 5-2 in a crucial relegation battle. After Palace scored two early goals, Gorry - returning from injury - took the game by the scruff of the neck, assisting one and scoring another while taking control of midfield. She started and played the full match.

Lyon defeated Reims 3-0 as they continued their undefeated start to the season. Melchie Dumornay scored a brace either side of an Ada Hegerberg goal. **Ellie Carpenter** was rested by Lyon for this game after the international window.
Clara Matéo’s late equaliser meant that Paris FC secured a point against city rivals PSG. The result means that PSG is now three points away from Lyon in the first place, while Paris FC is four points away from PSG in the second place. **Sarah Hunter** was unavailable for Paris FC.
