On Sunday night, the Golden State Warriors beat the Minnesota Timberwolves, 114-106. The Warriors got a rematch after losing to them on Friday, and fell by double digits in the second half, but were able to roar back.
After losing on Friday with Draymond Green playing off the bench, Steve Kerr opted to start the veteran. He got into foul trouble early but had some key defensive stops down the stretch, so moving him back to his more established role clearly worked out.
The Warriors were led by a 30-point effort from Stephen Curry, and Buddy Hield seems to have bounced back from his recent shooting slump, making 53.8 percent of his shots from deep to finish with 27 points. Johnathan Kuminga, who has been a focal point of the offense in recent games, chipped in 20 points.
Off the bench, Kevon Looney added 12 points and nine rebounds of his own, remaining a key part of the second unit and providing some much-needed size and interior presence.
The Timberwolves were led by Anthony Edwards, who scored 27 points. Rudy Gobert, who might be Green's biggest rival, posted only four points and ninerebounds, so Green continues to get the last laugh over the Stifle Tower, highlighted by a game-sealing dunk in the final minute after driving past the reigning DPOTY.

Despite chipping away at the Wolves' lead in a dominating second half, the Warriors allowed the Wolves to keep it close and even re-gain the lead late in the game, but the Dubs were able to outlast the 45.2 percent onslaught the Wolves presented from deep and shot a solid 39 percent of their own.
The Warriors will enjoy a few days off before taking on the Houston Rockets on the road in the knockout stage of the NBA Cup.
