Former Manchester City wonderkid Cole Palmer continued his rich vein of form in a Chelsea shirt by scoring a brace against Tottenham Hotspur in his side’s dramatic 4-2 victory.
Cole Palmer seems determined to remind City of why they may have made a grave mistake by selling him to the Blues in the summer of 2023.
The Chelsea attacker is having yet another outstanding season, with 11 goals and six assists to his name in the Premier League this campaign.
The Englishman even has more goal involvements in the league (17) than Manchester City striker Erling Haaland (14, 13 goals and one assist) so far.
Recently, Enzo Maresca’s view on Palmer being sold by the Sky Blues was that his former club were aware of how special a player he always was and due to their wealth of attacking talent, they decided to let go of him.

One of Palmer’s reasons for leaving Manchester City, as per his own admission came down to seeing young players at other sides getting regular minutes in the league, which he did not at his boyhood club.

Man City told they made a blunder by selling Chelsea’s Cole Palmer
The 22-year-old’s decision has paid off as Chelsea look much better-placed to challenge for the league title than City.
Jamie Carragher predicted Chelsea to usurp Manchester City in the league table by the end of the season and so far, he has been proven correct as Enzo Maresca’s side are four points clear of them.
After Chelsea’s latest win against Tottenham, Clinton Morrison claimed on BBC Radio 5 Live that Manchester City made a blunder by selling an absolute megastar in Palmer.
“I think he is a superstar. I think Man City look now and say ‘wow, we let one go.’ They don’t often make mistakes like that but they will be looking at Palmer like that now. For me, he is the best player in the Premier League at the moment.”
As Palmer scored two penalties against Spurs while also assisting Enzo Fernandez’s winner, he broke Yaya Toure’s record (11) of scoring the most consecutive spot-kicks in Premier League history (12).
Cole Palmer now holds the best 100% penalty conversion record in Premier League history (12/12) , breaking Yaya Touré's record.

Palmer revealed the U-21 Euros is when he decided to depart Manchester and head somewhere else with “no distractions” to “focus on football”, a decision that is ageing like fine wine.
John Stones admited he was ‘sad’ to see Palmer leave Man City
John Stones’ reaction to Palmer’s exit, as per his own admission was one typified by sadness while discussing his move to Chelsea in October.
Stones revealed: “I was a huge fan of Cole as soon as he came into our first team setup, what he brought to the game, how he played as if he was in the park.”
“I was sad to see him leave, made him aware of that but what he’s gone on and done is a credit to him, how he’s conducted himself how he’s stepped up in big moments is honestly credit to Cole and what he’s doing.”
“He’s in a good moment and I hope that continues for as long as possible and what, as you mentioned before, he’s done for England and scoring in the final, he’s experienced those big games now and big moments and hopefully more of that to come.”
Ultimately, Manchester City will be hoping that season upon season, they continue to showcase that them winning major trophies on a consistent basis is proof that their decision to sell Palmer does not affect them.
However, with how the in-form attacker is continuing to shine, the consensus seems to be that City made a huge mistake.
