Chelsea fan and pundit Paul Merson has been raving about one of Chelsea’s four goals scored against Tottenham yesterday afternoon.
Merson sounds like he enjoyed watching this one just as much as we all did. It’s always great to beat Tottenham, and we do it quite a lot! But it’s even better when we go to their own shiny new big stadium and beat them in their own back yards, that feels the best.

And then, when we beat them so easily, it all feels just that little bit sweeter. Despite scoring three goals and going two nil up early in the game, Chelsea were never looking like they were going to lose or even draw this game. It always looked like they were going to go on and win it, and they did just that in the end, scoring four goals to cancel out any threat Spurs had.
Enzo Maresca will be very pleased with the character shown by his players to come from behind and get such a big win with a convincing performance, bossing the possession. They have now pulled away from Arsenal in second place in the league.

Merson enjoyed watching Chelsea beat Spurs
The former Arsenal attacker was watching the game yesterday and reporting on it for Sky Sports, and he certainly enjoyed watching Jadon Sancho’s goal for Chelsea, which was a superb finish.
Merson said on Sky Sports’ Main Event channel (5:25pm, 7 December): “Phenomenal goal. Again, don’t show him on his right foot, Sancho. What I like about it is he comes in with pace. He comes across that pitch. He’s come in 100mph. To finish like that, phenomenal finish by the lad.”
