Chelsea legends John Terry and Frank Lampard have reacted on social media after Cole Palmer scored a panenka penalty to guide the Blues to a 4-3 victory over Tottenham Hotspur. The West London club faced Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham on Sunday, December 8.

Enzo Maresca's side conceded two early goals. Due to Marc Cucurella's slip, Brennan Johnson found an opening and passed the ball to Dominic Solanke, who broke the deadlock in the 5th minute. In the 11th minute, Dejan Kulusevski doubled the Spurs lead with the help of an assist from Pedro Porro and Cucurella's mistake.

However, after six minutes, Cucurella assisted Jadon Sancho's strike (17'), which made the score 2-1. In the second half, the Spurs conceded a penalty after Moises Caicedo was fouled by Yves Bissouma. Cole Palmer scored the equalizer from the spot in the 61st minute.

Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernandez helped the Blues complete the turnaround by making the score 3-2 in the 73rd minute. Later, in the 84th minute, Palmar secured points for Chelsea by netting a panenka penalty leaving Fraser Forster clueless.

Captain Heung Min Son scored Tottenham's third goal of the evening in the added time (90+6') but with the final whistle, three points were awarded to Chelsea in a memorable clash. After the match, Cole Palmer took to Instagram and uploaded a post with the caption:

"Chippy"

Frank Lampard commented "Class" accompanied by blue hearts on Palmer's post while John Terry also reacted with emojis.

During Chelsea's 4-3 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, Cole Palmer became the first player to score 12 penalties without missing any in the Premier League.

The Englishman surpassed the previous record of Toure Yaya, who converted 11 penalties without missing. The former Manchester City midfielder has also completed 50 goal contributions for the Stamford Bridge outfit in 48 Premier League games.

Only Manchester City's Erling Haaland (39), Newcastle United's Andy Cole (43'), and Liverpool's Mohamed Salah have reacted to the feat in fewer appearances in the Premier League.

During the weekend, Mikel Arteta's Arsenal dropped points against Fulham with a 1-1 draw while Liverpool's clash against Everton got postponed due to safety concerns. With 31 points in 15 games, Enzo Maresca's side are currently second in the Premier League.
