Oscar Bobb has been out with a fractured leg since the beginning of this season. The Norwegian international suffered the injury in training before the Premier League season began. It was a cruel blow for Manchester City and Oscar Bobb. Bobb was City’s standout performer during their pre-season tour of the United States. He looked set for a prominent role this season before injury struck. The hope is now that when he returns from injury he can boost Manchester City’s attacking options. Tashan Denrian-Alleyne has reported for the Standard that Bobb is due to return either in January or February. His return isn’t imminent but it is on the horizon.

As covered yesterday Claudio Echeverri is set to arrive at Manchester City next month. His arrival following the completion of his loan spell at River Plate is keenly anticipated. Manchester City’s attacking options are set for a boost in the not-to-distant future. Although they are both young, and Bobb will be returning from a fractured leg, the pair will add pace, technical ability and some life to Manchester City’s attacking play. That has been missing of late. The moment the pair are in Pep Guardiola’s squad will be an exciting one. Especially given the prodigious talent they both possess. In a season that has suffered due to injuries, age and fatigue for Manchester City the imminent arrival and return of two young players is something to get excited about.
