Frank Lampard praises Cole Palmer’s performance during Chelsea vs Tottenham

Enzo Maresca was one of those praising Palmer for his performance, however even he was left close to speechless when asked about the fact he Panenka’d his second penalty of the afternoon.

John Terry’s reaction to Palmer’s penalty yesterday was iconic, however fellow club legend Frank Lampard opted for a far more measured approach as his former side won yet again at a ground they have such a good record at.

Lampard took to the comments of Palmer’s post-match Instagram post to praise him for his performance in arguably the Blues’ biggest win of the season so far.

He said: “Class.”, followed by a couple of blue heart emojis.

The speed Palmer is scoring his goals for Chelsea puts him very much in the conversation right now to become one of the top scorers in the club’s history, a record currently held by Lampard.

How is Lampard doing in new managerial job?

Lampard meanwhile is now up and running with a win under his belt while in charge of Coventry City in the Championship.

The Englishman will no doubt be keen to get to the January transfer window in order to try and utilise his links to Chelsea to potentially bolster his squad with new players, either permanently or on loan.

Lampard can surely kickstart Tyrique George’s career at Stamford Bridge by giving him opportunities to star for Coventry, while the boss is reportedly a big fan of Carney Chukwuemeka too.

The former Chelsea star will have plenty of players to choose from if he does choose to raid the West London club, who are threatening to do something very special this season themselves.
