West Ham United play host to Wolves in game dubbed as ‘El Sackico’ in the Premier League on Monday night.
The Premier League showdown is a vital one for both teams, with West Ham and Wolves having started the 2024/25 season in poor fashion.
However, it’s worth highlighting that the outcome of tonight’s game pales into insignificance really, after Michail Antonio was involved in a horrific road accident on Saturday.
Thankfully, he has pulled through, and is said to be recovering in hospital now following surgery on his broken leg.
Now it’s all eyes on the London Stadium for tonight’s clash with Wolves.
John Brooks has been named as the referee for the West Ham vs Wolves ‘El Sackico’, and that’s not great news for the Hammers in my opinion.
And it seems like some bad injury news has emerged ahead of the game, but for which club?
Five key players could miss West Ham vs Wolves clash
At least one manager will lose his job tonight.
Both Lopetegui AND O’Neil may well be sent packing if the result ends in a draw.

MORE WEST HAM STORIES
And there has been some bad news for one of the two clubs ahead of tonight’s crunch clash.
According to Premier Injuries, Wolves could be without five key players for the clash with West Ham tonight.
Yerson Mosquera, Enso Gonzalez, Sasa Kalajdzic and Boubacar Traore are all definitely ruled out. Meanwhile, Pablo Sarabia has a 50% chance of taking part, after experiencing tightness in his calf.
That’s obviously bad news for Wolves ahead of ‘El Sackico’.
West Ham simply have to win tonight, and win well if Lopetegui is to remain in the hot-seat at the London Stadium.
The Spaniard has badly underperformed in his role as Hammers head coach, since he replaced David Moyes in the summer.
However, tonight’s clash with Wolves is a big chance for him to prove that he has what it takes to lead West Ham on into an exciting new era.
I want to see some really progressive, attacking football from the boys, and if they’re on top form, a home win should be a dead cert.
West Ham should be wiping the floor with teams like Wolves.
A convincing win against Gary O’Neil’s men would switch the narrative quickly.
And considering the fact they have so many key players missing, nothing less than all three points and an encouraging performance will do.
