The Ruben Amorim era at Manchester United might have hit a snag recently with consecutive losses but the impact of Amad on the team is clear.
What started as a revival in the four games under Ruud van Nistelrooy has turned into a full-fledged breakout for Amad and that too in an entirely new position.
The ease with which the Ivorian has taken to the wing-back role and made it his own should be an example to the rest of his teammates.
Owen Hargreaves has declared Amad as the only ‘undroppable’ in the Man Utd squad already and that sort of praise has been fully earned.
But which player does the player loved by everybody love? Amad has revealed the teammate he has a ‘special bond’ with.

Amad’s ‘special bond’ with Man Utd teammate
Amad has quickly become a dressing room favourite for his endearing personality and his selfless running on the pitch.
With six assists in the Premier League, he tops the charts at Old Trafford and is third in the league only behind Bukayo Saka and Cole Palmer.
In a recent interview with Sky Sports, Amad revealed that he has had a great time so far under Ruben Amorim and is ‘enjoying every moment’.

He praised Bruno Fernandes as the teammate he ‘so happy’ to have, revealing that he has a ‘special bond’ with the captain who also speaks Italian.
Amad said: “I am so happy to have Bruno as my teammate here. He speaks Italian, so we have a special bond. He told me some things to improve [after Everton game] during games and asked me to be more focused towards the end of the game because that’s when you see the champions.”
It speaks volumes about both players’ mentality that after a game where Amad flourished vs Everton, they came together to iron out any shortcomings.
Amad delighted under Ruben Amorim
Erik ten Hag’s treatment of the Ivorian was always perplexing and the way he has settled into a rhythm under both managers following the Dutchman has reinforced that confusion.
The player said that he’s had a great time under Amorim so far, talking up his man-management skills which stem from him being a player in the past.
Amad revealed that Amorim has always tried to help him since he’s playing in a new position and he’s determined to repay the trust, which he has done with his displays so far.
He said: “We try to follow the coach’s philosophy. He speaks to the players; he was a footballer himself, so he understands our feelings, and we are happy to have him.
“I always try to repay the coach’s trust. We’ve been on good terms since he arrived. He’s always tried to help me, especially because I am playing a new role.”
Amorim will hope that Amad continues on this path because as it stands, he’s the one constant source of good displays in a team that looks comfortable with mediocrity far too often.
