Paul Pogba
Louis Saha believes Paul Pogba has been offered the chance to train with Manchester United as he prepares to end his doping ban
Former Manchester United star Louis Saha has claimed Paul Pogba is set to be offered to train with the club in 2025 as he prepares to finish his ban from football.
The former Juventus star has not played since the summer of last year after being given a four-year ban for failing a doping test, though this was later reduced to 18 months. He is free to join a new club in January but cannot play another match until March.
He officially left the Serie A club last month after a horror spell that saw him only play 203 minutes across the space of two seasons before being slapped with his lengthy ban.
After declaring "the nightmare is over" in October, Pogba will now be looking to resurrect his career and his former United and France team-mate Saha believes the chance to train with United would be huge for his comeback.

He told Casino Utan Spelpaus: "I've heard some rumours that Paul Pogba will be offered the opportunity to come back and train with Man Utd in the New Year, and I think that would be a great opportunity for Paul.
"He needs to get back to his best level as quickly as possible, and training with top players will help him to do that. I think he would be thrilled to have the opportunity to go back to the club."
Saha wants United to re-sign Pogba for a third time after initially coming through their youth system before joining Juventus. He then returned to Old Trafford for £89million in 2016 but failed to justify his price tag. He played 226 times for United in his second spell but struggled with inconsistency and often came under fire from fans and pundits.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe
Sir Jim Ratcliffe will be looking to bolster United's squad in January
Saha feels Ruben Amorim is lacking a technically sound box-to-box midfielder after watching his old side struggle in recent games and urged chief Sir Jim Ratcliffe to take a chance on the Frenchman as a free agent.
"I also think that Paul Pogba is still a very special player. When you think about midfielders, Pogba has unique qualities. I think the United squad lacks power in the midfield, and we’re missing a skilful player that can play box-to-box, so he would be a good addition (to the United squad) because he’s a different profile of player to what United have.
"When I look at Pogba, I think that many teams in the Premier League would find signing him as a free agent an attractive proposition. Forget about the salary, I’m sure Paul is ready to find a compromise on that as he wants to play football again after such a long time on the sidelines.
"When I think about Pogba, there are more positives with signing him than there are negatives, and I think he’s a player that should interest Manchester United in January."
