"I'm done with this garbage" - Jamie O'Hara blasts Tottenham man, calls club a 'disgrace' after 4-3 loss to Chelsea

Former footballer Jamie O'Hara has called for Tottenham Hotspur to sack Ange Postecoglou after their 4-3 loss to Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday, December 8. He believes the tactician has failed to develop a winning mentality in the team.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), O'Hara stated that Tottenham had no clue how to win matches. He said the manager was not good enough to control games and called for his former side to part ways with the Australian. He posted:

“I’m done with this garbage we are a disgrace, 2-0 up and get battered we have zero clue of how to win games. I’m sorry it can’t go on like this, time to go.”

However, the Tottenham players are still backing the manager. Cristian Romero voiced his support after the 4-3 defeat to Chelsea, telling Telemundo (via BBC):

"He's a great coach. We saw it in the first season. In this second one we've suffered a lot of injuries. Players are the first one to be criticized, then if we lose 10 games, the staff can be changed, but nobody talks about what is actually happening. We are very happy with this staff, me and my colleagues. We love how they work and the football they try to play. We'll try to move on quickly."

Tottenham took a 2-0 lead vs Chelsea inside 11 minutes but slipped to 4-2 in the second half, with Cole Palmer scoring twice from the spot and a goal each from Jadon Sancho and Enzo Fernandez. Son Heung-min, who missed a 1-on-1 chance while it was 2-2, scored deep into injury time to make it 4-3.

Tottenham will not change their approach despite Chelsea defeat, admits Ange Postecoglou

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has dismissed calls for him to change his tactics after the loss to Chelsea. He believes that they are doing well because and that there is no reason for him to change his system.

He told the media (via CaughtOffside):

"It was good enough to get us ahead in the game so I am not sure why we should change our approach. It was a game of big moments. If we score at 2-2 and go 3-2 ahead then the pressure is on them and they have to open up like we did when we conceded.

"Their penalties were poor from our behalf. We didn't need to make those challenges and it was hard for us to claw it back. I think sometimes when you are in this position we are, you are desperate to do the right thing. You probably need a calmer approach. The guys are desperate to do the right thing and unfortunately it cost us."

Tottenham are 11th in the league table after 15 matches this season. Chelsea have moved to within four points of leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand.
