Nuno Espirito Santo breaks 114-year record at Nottingham Forest
The sky really is the limit for Forest at the moment and the club’s current form is catching the eye of pundits across the sport.
Espirito Santo took over at a difficult time almost 12 months ago but one of his first victories at Forest did come against United – although that was at the City Ground.
Having defeated the Red Devils again, Espirito Santo has now broken a record that has stood for 114 years.

The head coach has become the first Forest boss to win his first two league games against United since Fred Earp in 1910.
It’s a pretty special feat, with Espirito Santo also becoming the first-ever Forest head coach to win away at Liverpool and Manchester United in the same season.
Forest can enjoy truly memorable season
The Reds have to keep progressing but this win does put the team ahead of the curve once more.
Forest are perhaps more crucially 16 points clear of the relegation zone after 15 games and it doesn’t feel as though the team will be in that conversation this season.
Espirito Santo has changed the perception of Forest somewhat this season and no longer is the club a laughing stock.
Neco Williams aimed a little dig at United after the former Liverpool man helped Forest repeat their Anfield heroics.
Now, Forest will hope to stay in fine fettle ahead of a busy run of fixtures as Christmas football quickly rolls into town.
