Tottenham Hotspur crashed to a 4-3 defeat against London rivals Chelsea in the Premier League yesterday.
The likes of Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma were involved in clumsy tackles, which resulted in two spot kicks for Chelsea.
Jamie Carragher labelled the challenge from Bissouma as braindead. He also slammed Sarr for his poor tackle on Palmer. The Sky Sports pundit went on to claim that Sarr cost his team the game with his ridiculous challenge.
He said via TEAMtalk: “You know how skilful he [Palmer] is. That is so clumsy, that is so bad because this was the moment that cost them the game. Ridiculous challenge, you just cost your team,” Redknapp said.
“That’s two ill-disciplined [tackles] from your two defensive midfield players.”
Both Sarr and Bissouma have done quite well for Tottenham since joining the club, but they will be thoroughly disappointed with their performance against Chelsea yesterday. The North London giants were leading the game 2-0, and they threw away their advantage with poor decisions during the game.
Tottenham are in the midtable position and they need to improve if they want to secure Champions League qualification. They are unlikely to succeed this season unless they can cut out rash tackling from their game.

The two players will certainly be disappointed with their own performances and they will know that they need to improve in the coming weeks. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can bounce back strongly, and put together a winning run now.
They have a talented squad at their disposal and they have been underperforming so far. The fans will expect better performances from the players in the upcoming matches.
Meanwhile, Carragher has urged Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou to be more flexible with his playing style, depending upon the opposition so that they can grind out results and make themselves difficult to beat in the coming months.
