It was a somewhat leggy performance for much of the 90 minutes, possibly to be expected after the short turnaround from their victory over Spurs on Thursday night, but a fantastic finish saw them claim all three points.
[Trailing 1-0 on 87 minutes, substitutes Enes Unal and Dango Ouattara netted the crucial goals to take the game 2-1 – Ouattara’s winner coming five minutes into stoppage time.](https://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/24779999.afc-bournemouth-come-back-defeat-ipswich-town-2-1/)
Here’s how the Daily Echo rated the [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/) players on Sunday.
**Kepa Arrizabalaga: 7**
Another good game for the Spaniard in the Cherries net. He has looked much more assured of late, and made a big save from Sam Szmodics at 1-0 in the second half to keep the deficit at one.
**Milos Kerkez: 6**
A lively performance from the Hungarian from left back. Kerkez got a number of crosses into the box in both halves overlapping on the left as he does – but these were well defended by Ipswich. He played a pinpoint ball over the top for Ouattara for the equaliser that teased keeper Muric out and created the opportunity for Unal.
**Dean Huijsen: 7**
Huijsen backed up his sensational performance in midweek with a good one at Portman Road on Sunday. For both sides, the defences were the standouts, and the Huijsen-Zabarnyi partnership has made a strong start at the heart of the Bournemouth back line.
_(Image: Bradley Collyer/PA Wire)_ **Illia Zabarnyi: 8**
A fantastic performance from the Ukrainian. He helped to keep the dangerous Liam Delap quiet throughout much of the game and made some crucial challenges, one not long into the second half when Delap turned him and raced through, Zabarnyi getting back to challenge and win the ball brilliantly.
**Adam Smith: 5**
A slightly tired looking performance from Smith – but possibly to be expected from the stalwart after some excellent performances in recent weeks and in midweek.
**Lewis Cook: 6**
A good return to the starting 11 for Cook. He was needed to deputise a right back for parts of the second half after Smith went off and before Hill came on, and he did well as cover.
**Ryan Christie: 6**
Christie is a very important part of how this Iraola team plays, which has been demonstrated of late – particularly when he was absent against Brighton. He again was good in the Cherries midfield, pulling the strings.
_(Image: Bradley Collyer/PA Wire)_ **Marcus Tavernier: 5**
It was not a particularly fruitful afternoon for the Cherries starting forwards. Tavernier at times looked frustrated and missed a couple of good chances, going closest for Bournemouth in the first half when he struck the post.
**Justin Kluivert: 5**
Kluivert, too, appeared to have a frustrating afternoon, and vented this when he was substituted shortly after the hour mark.
**Antoine Semenyo: 7**
Of all the starting attackers, Semenyo had the best day. He looked a threat throughout and did some excellent work in the build up to the winner, drawing his man inside to create time and space for Billing on the right, whose ball in was eventually converted by Ouattara.
**Evanilson: 6**
Evanilson had a decent afternoon. He has become an important part of the Cherries press and was energetic as usual. He didn’t have many chances on goal but his link up play is becoming better and better each week.
**Substitutes:**
**Enes Unal: 7**
Unal netted his first goal of the season which will hopefully prove a real confidence boost for the Turkish striker.
_(Image: Bradley Collyer/PA Wire)_ **Dango Ouattara: 7**
Ouattara looked a handful from the moment he came on, and he finished the winner with aplomb – smashing the ball into the roof of the net.
**David Brooks: 6**
**Philip Billing: 7**
Billing, too, looked good off the bench and played a vital role in the winner, linking play and getting on the overlap to square it into the box for Ouattara to eventually finish from the rebound of Brooks’ shot.
**James Hill: 6**
