Over the past few windows, Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior has been linked with a move back to Italy and these reports aren’t going away anytime soon.
Napoli have been named as one of the centre-back’s interested parties as Antonio Conte wants to improve his side’s defence in January.
Tuttosport, relayed by Area Napoli, state the Serie A side have taken steps to try and sign the Arsenal player.
Both the Naples club and the former Chelsea manager particularly like the 24-year-old’s profile.
It’s claimed Napoli have initiated new contacts with the Gunners and even made a €15m bid for the Poland international. Mikel Arteta’s side haven’t entertained this offer as they are asking for €10m more to sanction his sale in the winter market.
The Italian club could make contact with Arsenal in the next few weeks and are set to face an ‘uphill’ task to negotiate a deal for the player. There’s no indication if Napoli will meet the north London club’s request.
Kiwior, who arrived at the Emirates from Spezia in January 2023, is behind William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães at Arsenal.
