The final Merseyside derby at Goodison Park was postponed on the weekend due to Storm Darragh.
Discussions are now ongoing about rescheduling Everton vs Liverpool but it likely won’t take place until gameweek 24, at the earliest.
Attention now turns towards an away trip to Arsenal on Saturday afternoon, so the fixtures don’t get any easier. In fact, Everton have an incredibly tough run up until mid-January.
Fans have urged the club to sack manager Sean Dyche over the last few weeks and it’s believed when the Friedkin Group are installed as the new owners, they could look to bring in their own man.
Sergio Conceicao has been linked to Goodison Park whilst Graham Potter and Edin Terzic remain options.
And, it’s just come to light that the Friedkin Group’s prime target is likely to reject any forthcoming approach from Wolves in a major boost to the Toffees.

David Moyes likely to reject Wolves
Everton News exclusively reported last month that the Friedkin Group plan to appoint David Moyes until the end of the season if Dyche’s situation becomes untenable.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
Moyes is the prime target if Dyche were to be sacked and now Everton have just been handed a major boost in their potential bid to appoint him.
According to Alan Nixon, Wolves are planning to approach the Scotsman in the event that Gary O’Neil leaves, however, they’re likely to be rejected.
There are ‘severe doubts’ about whether Moyes would accept the role at Molineux and it’s understood he’s happy to wait for the right job.
The Toffees could make contact with their former boss in the coming weeks, once the takeover has been finalised.
Sean Dyche deserves another chance after Wolves win
Everton were 4-0 winners against Wolves last week and put some breathing room between them and the bottom three.
So Dyche certainly deserves another chance to prove his worth before any decision is made about his future.
The players all seem to be fully committed to his plan and perhaps a positive January window could reignite their profligate attack.
A telling few weeks lie ahead on Merseyside.
