Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, and S24 FE get December 2024 security update

The Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra got the December 2024 security patch with the One UI 7 beta update last week, and now, Samsung has released a separate update with just the security patch for those who are still running Android 14 and One UI 6.1.1.

The Galaxy S24 FE, which isn't eligible for the One UI 7 beta program, is also getting this update. For the S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra, the update is rolling out in Korea and can be identified by the software build number S92xNKSS5AXKA. The Galaxy S24 FE is getting it in Europe with the build number S721BXXS3AXK6. (Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 owners can download the December update in Europe as well.)

It should come as no surprise that this update only brings security fixes. Samsung is currently testing Android 15 and One UI 7 on the Galaxy S24 series, so it's unlikely that any improvements to the user experience and new features will be coming to these devices before the official One UI 7.0 update is ready to roll out next year.

To download the latest update on your S24-series phone, navigate to its Settings ยป Software update menu and tap Download and install. If you are comfortable manually flashing updates on your device, you can download the latest firmware from SamMobile.
