The relationship between Luis Enrique and Luís Campos has deteriorated recently, according to a report by **L’Équipe,** amid a battle for influence at Paris Saint-Germain.
**[L’Équipe](https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Article/Psg-entre-luis-enrique-et-luis-campos-le-bloc-se-fissure-et-des-premieres-tensions-apparaissent/1525186)** understands that signs of tensions between the pair have been picked up on by those around PSG’s training centre in Poissy, with Campos spending the whole week there – a rarity for the Portuguese sporting director. His discussions with Luis Enrique have sometimes been _“animated”_ in recent times.
It comes at a time when Campos is losing influence. It is a situation tied to his contract status. Luis Enrique recently extended until 2027, although this has not been officialised by PSG, whilst Campos, currently locked in extension talks, will see his current deal expire at the end of the campaign.
##### PSG president not picking sides
Luis Enrique’s increasingly authoritarian management of the squad is also a point of contention between the pair. There has also been a disagreement regarding recruitment. Campos attempted on multiple occasions, albeit unsuccessfully, to convince Luis Enrique to allow him to buy a centre-forward. The Spaniard, however, was unwavering in his stance that he wanted neither Victor Osimhen nor Viktor Gyökeres.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who exchanged with the pair in recent days, has noted the tensions between Campos and Luis Enrique but is not taking sides.
