Forget the Grand Theft Auto 6 release date - we're still waiting for the game's second trailer.
It's not been over a year since we got our first glimpse into GTA 6's version of Vice City and the surrounding areas, and while we've kept racking up the views on Trailer 1, we're now desperate for new details to pore over in search of clues.
While Rockstar is keeping quiet, one former developer has confirmed what we all knew, as keeping us waiting is likely one of the most effective marketing plans around, and that the team will be "geeking out" about the fan reaction.

Rockstar devs 'geeking out'
Mike York worked at Rockstar New England as an animator for six years, contributing to both GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2.
On his YouTube video above, York explains how Rockstar staff will be enjoying the attention fans are paying to the game despite the studio's silence.
"All the developers over there are geeking out about it, trust me," he explains.
"When I was over there I would have little conversations with people and be like, ‘Did you hear this person found this mystery?’ And they’d go, ‘Oh yeah!’"
Speaking about the delay between trailers, York suggests this is very intentional on Rockstar's part, saying "The more they're silent the better it is". H also said that while the trailer could be released at any time, Rockstar is probably enjoying the marketing without necessarily doing anything to feed the fire.

"They could easily release the trailer date and be like, ‘Hey this is when the trailer's coming out,’ but they don't do it. And they don't do it on purpose because it's a really, really good marketing tactic. If you think about it, it creates these really cool theories."
So far those theories have included plotting the phases of the moon in GTA Online, as well as a PlayStation event that didn't materialise, analysing social media posts and a mystery YouTube playlist.
Still, as York explains: “This brings the fans together. This is a really cool way to get fans to talk about your game when you’re not releasing anything yet, in-between the times."
He's also suggested "a lot of these things are like trolls," referring to the teases that the community thinks they've found, so it might be best to take the next theory with a fistful of salt.
