‘Enough Is Enough’ – ex-Tottenham star urges Ange Postecoglou to step down

Spurs aimed to bounce back from their loss at Bournemouth and started the Premier League clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with the intent to win but they were overpowered by Maresca’s men.

Goals from Dominic Solanke and Dejan Kulusevski in the opening 11 minutes gave the hosts a dominant early lead, leaving Chelsea rattled. However, Chelsea quickly responded, with Jadon Sancho scoring a brilliant solo goal in the 17th minute. A Cole Palmer penalty shortly after the hour mark levelled the game, bringing the Blues back into contention.

Enzo Fernandez then struck to put Chelsea in front, with Cole Palmer sealing the result with a cheeky Panenka penalty to make it 4-2. Tottenham pulled one back late through Heung-Min Son, but it served as nothing more than a consolation. The collapse drew heavy criticism from former Spurs star Jamie O’Hara, who slammed the team’s lack of composure, claiming they have “zero clue” how to see out games.

O’Hara believes its high time for Ange to head out

Tottenham have now suffered seven defeats in their 15 league matches this season, a concerning stat for a side that started the campaign with title-challenger form. While it would be harsh to pin all the blame on Ange Postecoglou, given Spurs’ crippling injury crisis and the absence of key players like goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario until later in the season, not everyone sees it that way.

Former Spurs star Jamie O’Hara voiced his frustration, labelling the team’s performance a “disgrace” after blowing the 2-0 lead. O’Hara criticised their inability to see out games, calling it “sh*t or bust” and even suggesting it may be “time to go” for Postecoglou. The manager’s early promises of winning silverware in his second season now appear increasingly hollow, with O’Hara’s anger reflecting that of many Spurs fans.

I’m done with this garbage we are a disgrace, 2-0 up and get battered we have zero clue of how to win games it’s just shit or bust, I’m sorry it can’t go on like this, time to go

It’s unclear whether Ange Postecoglou’s time at Tottenham is nearing its end or if he’ll be given more time to turn things around. Regardless, the primary focus for the Lilywhites should be on squad reinforcements during the transfer window. With injuries exposing the squad’s lack of depth, it may be time for Tottenham to finally make significant investments if they genuinely aspire to compete at the highest level of football.
