Jadon Sancho says he has been made to feel welcome at Chelsea amid his loan spell and outlined how he has “a lot of people to prove wrong”.
Sancho, still contracted to Manchester United, sparked Chelsea’s 4-2 comeback win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday evening, firing home his second goal for the Blues with his side 2-0 down.
Sancho has now two goals in as many matches, after netting in the 5-1 win at Southampton in midweek. United agreed for an obligation-to-buy clause worth around £25m to be inserted into his loan deal at Chelsea, who now sit second and some 12 points ahead of United in 13th.

Former United boss Erik ten Hag said he and Sancho had agreed to draw a line under their feud that led to the 24-year-old’s January loan move to Borussia Dortmund, with whom he reached the Champions League final.
However, the attacker’s future at Old Trafford always looked ominous and he subsequently sealed a season-long loan at Chelsea on deadline day. Sancho has now found favour under Enzo Mareca at Stamford Bridge, starting seven of his 10 games and recording two goals and five assists.
Speaking after Chelsea’s triumph over Tottenham, Sancho told Premier League Productions of his happiness at his new club. “From the very first day, they’ve made me feel welcome and I know I have a lot of people to prove wrong,” he said.
“And I’m just working hard every day in training and once I get my opportunity I just try to show what I can do. Today, I’m happy that I scored and got the three points for the team.”
Asked about his thoughts when Chelsea were two goals down, Sancho added: “I have a lot of trust in this squad, so I wasn't too fazed. Once we got the first goal back I knew we would come back and get a result.”
