The 2023/24 season was certainly a memorable one for Barcelona: four titles won out of a possible four, including the Women's Champions League. Such dominance was reflected with a notable Barça presence in the 2024 FIFPRO Women's World 11.

The vote of women's football players from all over the world determined that four Barcelona players were to be rewarded with World 11 places. Players were asked to vote for their peers based on their performances between 21 August 2023 and 10 August 2024 inclusive.

Lucy Bronze

Having lifted five Women's Champions Leagues with Olympique Lyonnais and Barcelona, Lucy Bronze – now at Chelsea – has certainly demonstrated her consistency at the top. Physically tough, Bronze's defensive and attacking skills as a right-back were key to coach Jonatan Giraldez's successful 2023/24 campaign.

Bronze’s inclusion in the 2024 World 11 means the defender has now equalled the current women’s appearance record (7) she shares with France’s Wendie Renard.

What they said about Bronze

Fran Kirby, Bronze's England team-mate
