Jadon Sancho might not be missing Manchester United very much after Chelsea jumped to second position in the league but he’s not over it either.
With five assists and two goals in 11 games across all competitions, Jadon Sancho has become a capable attacking option for Chelsea.
Sancho has still struggled to an extent but he has combined those struggles with moments where he stitches it together to make a difference.
That is far above what he managed at Old Trafford which is why he infuriated Man Utd fans to no extent. Written off as a failure by many, his latest comments indicate that time at the club still hurts him.

There have been many examples in football history where a player has struggled to make a mark at United only for him to go elsewhere and find some form.
A lot goes into making a player a success, especially at a club like United where the scrutiny is arguably the highest in England.
Sancho has enjoyed a more rotation role at Chelsea under less intense scrutiny which has allowed him to show a better version of himself.
After a huge win vs Tottenham recently put Chelsea firmly in second place ahead of potential title contenders like Arsenal and Man City, Sancho reflected on the season so far.

He said: “From day one, they made me feel welcome at Chelsea. I know that I have a lot of people to prove wrong.
“I’ve been working very hard. Let me say thank you to the staff and the team for believing in me and giving me this opportunity.”

His acceptance that he has a lot of people to prove wrong rings true because pretty much all the doubters he has are because of his United spell.
It is the first time he has addressed outside criticism of his form and it shows how badly hurt he was by intense criticism he faced at Old Trafford before leaving for Chelsea.
Sancho’s success means nothing for Man Utd
Although the fact that a few goals and assists in moments for Chelsea are regarded as success for Sancho speaks volumes on its own, it’s still an improvement from his United days.
However, that doesn’t mean it reflects badly on United or Sancho wasn’t given a fair shake of things to succeed at the club.
If anything, Sancho was protected and given more than enough chances because United were eager to recoup their investment on him, a pressure he’s free from at Chelsea.
The higher Chelsea finish in the table, the more United will get for Sancho who was never going to have any future at the club after burning all bridges.
Therefore, it is for the best that he’s playing a good role for the London club and the team is up there in the table because that means more flexibility in the PSR battle come summer when his buying obligation kicks in.
United have moved on and from his comments, it looks like Sancho will too but hasn’t yet.
