West Ham United face a big challenge ahead of us, with Arsenal said to be plotting a big January transfer window move.
The January window is just around the corner now, and West Ham and Arsenal are both expected to be busy, with Julen Lopetegui and Mikel Arteta in need of reinforcements at the London Stadium and the Emirates.
Both the Hammers and the Gunners are in desperate need of a top-class, proven centre-forward.
It remains to been whether Lopetegui will still be in charge of West Ham by the time the January transfer window rolls around, but regardless of who our manager is, the need for a striker will remain the same.

The centre-forward is position is one that has really caused us problems historically.
Gianluca Scamacca and Sebastien Haller are just two examples of talented strikers who have failed to make a mark at the London Stadium.
The next forward signing we make absolutely has to be suited to the style of football the manager wants to implement.
And now it seems like the powers that be are desperate to address our striker deficiencies in January.

Arsenal to cause West Ham a problem with £20m January move
It seems like the Hammers could have our work cut out this winter.
But not in the way you might think.

That’s because Arsenal are said to be battling West Ham to sign Everton hitman Dominic Calvert-Lewin in January, according to a report from The Sun.
He’ll be out of contract at Goodison Park in the summer, and Everton are allegedly only prepared to sell him in January if their £20 million demands are met.
Described by Sky Sports as ‘special’, the 27-year-old striker is certainly a top-class player on his day.
However, those days have been too few and far between over the past couple of years.
Calvert-Lewin has experienced horrific injury problems during his career to date.
The Toffees striker has missed 74 games for Everton through injury since the start of the 2020/21 season (Transfermarkt).
However, when he is fit, he’s a real handful. The 27-year-old Englishman has bagged 70 goals in 261 games for Everton, and he’s one of the strongest centre-forwards around when it comes to aerial duels.
I actually think he could do a really good job for the Hammers, if he manages to maintain his fitness over the next few years.
However, with Arsenal said to be in the race for Calvert-Lewin, West Ham may well face disappointment in the January transfer window.
