Fortnite Chapter 6 is here, but if you're finding it a little easier to get your Victory Royale fix, we may now know why.
Epic's Battle Royale, which just re-added its classic OG map and weapons, reportedly has up to 90 bots in some 100 person lobbies, meaning the chances you're duking it out with a genuine player are definitely diminished.
Longtime Fortnite account Osirion posted on X (formerly Twitter) to suggest matchmaking has been amended for the returning OG mode, and it's making for surprising reading.

Fortnite OG could have 90 bots per match
As reported by Insider Gaming, Epic has apparently added bots to help lower skilled players feel comfortable playing - which explains why some characters on the battlefield often look as though that couldn't hit a barn door.
Low SBMM (skill-based matchmaking) lobbies reportedly have up to 90 bots, while tougher lobbies of more skilled players have 10 bots, according to Osirion, meaning there would be 90 real players in a match.
Player sentiment on social media has been mixed. While some are pleased it'll help bring players back to the OG mode, keeping it well-populated, others are frustrated that Epic Games is catering to newer or returning players.
We've reached out to Epic Games for comment and will update this if we receive it.
